I swear... this is getting so bad I can not stand it!! The bleeding has gotten worse the last 2 days and now I am also cramping severely! It hurts to sit down..
I wish I could just cut it all out myself. lol.. jokeing of course.. but this really really *****! :( I hate my body so much.........
Yes, I will post up the next results I get OR I will go by and demand that they give me the numbers. It is hard to get anything at that place. I would go in for testing and they will NEVER call you with the results. You have to call them over and over sometimes for weeks just to find out if your ok. They are always packed with people that are low income families on medicaid or medicare ect..
Well, I have to get in to see them agin this week because I am feeling very bad and my heart keeps fluttering and jumping around all crazy (not all the time just a few times a day). My legs are starting to swell some also.. so that usually means my anemia is getting pretty bad and I may have to have a blood transfusion again from loss of so much blood. I am going on 3 months of my period and its mostly heavy flow. :(
Sounds like your thyroid really has you messed up. if your on synthroid, i would suggest getting on a more natural medecine. I've been on it for 4yrs. now and I had a total thyroid removed and having problems with this medecine. I have researched armour thyroid and it can adapt to your body better than synthetic med. the only pklace you can get it is in canada at northern pharmacy. it's on the internet and also i would suggest seeing a homeopathic doctor for your bleeding and hormone issues. I don't have insurance either and they are very reasonable and its all natural. good luck.
We need to know your specific thyroid test results and reference ranges from the lab report. The doctor is required to give you a copy upon request. After all, it is your info.
Even though you are on a low dose of thyroid meds, it may not be nearly enough to get your thyroid hormone levels up to the levels needed. If you will get that info and post it here, members can help interpret.
sounds like the only killers in your diet are the vanilla ice coffee and the chocolate.
Occassional eating out and drinking alcohol in moderation shouldn't be a problem, well done for breaking that habit of getting drunk a couple of times a week. that's great.
there's been a lot of publicity in the UK recently about how many calories are in those fancy coffees and it's literally horrific, you have absolutely gotta break that habit girl!!!! when you're carrying so much extra weight you need to start paying attention to this (I don't care how tall or big framed you are, you need to get on the case with this!)
I can relate because I am also a total chocolate freak and find it difficult to resist. the caffeine and the sugar are both addictive substances, the more you eat, the more you will want but if you can break the cycle (like you have done with the booze) you will be so much better off! I'm getting better at resisting but I'm having to really work on it. You might want to check another post of mine on this forum where lots of people have given really good advice for helping reduce those cravings. I think you'll find it easily on the forum or if you click on my profile.
Really, really paying attention to what your putting in your body and not eating stuff that undermines your health will obviously not solve everything for you because the period stuff sounds more complicated, but I'm sure it will do you a lot of good, mentally and physically and will be a great start. Your medical practitioners will also be pleased to see you are taking steps to help yourself.
So now you know about your Mum's aunt's problem that's something else to tell your doctor. Remember that whatever happened to her isn't neccessarily going to happen to you, there are likely to be other treatment options available nowadays. Medicine is moving forward all the time. All health problems are more likely to be solved the earlier they are dealt with.
Ask your doctor and the community med people, about availability of counselling support in your area and/or look on community notice boards, like at your local library, etc. Some churches in the UK offer non religious services to the community, I think the US is more religious than us so that might not be the case over there, but go looking with an open heart and I bet you will find the help you need.
Talking to friends and family and people on here can be good too. Stuff starts to move when we talk about it and address it.
sending you lots and lots of encouragement and warm wishes
I know the weight is a issue even though I'm like 5'11 and have a large frame anyway.. I am very top heavy and thick in my thigh area and stomach.
If I just lost 60 pounds that would be great.. I would be happy real skinny, curvy or a little thick is pretty to me. Anyway, as far as healthy eating goes.. I do eat somewhat healthy but I do eat out occasionally like at Taco Bueno or Jack in Box. I drink a lot of vanilla ice coffee and I am a chocolate freak! I crave it daily so very bad..
I used to drink (beer and wine) alot about twice a week to the point I'm drunk but I have stopped that now. I have not been drunk since Oct.09 which is good.
As far as councelling goes, I could maybe see someone but not sure who. I am not a religious person nor do I go to church so.... uh yea.
I did talk to a doctor once that recommended I try a DNC to see if that would help with bleeding. But you know I talked to my mother tonight about it and her aunt had a bleeding/period problem also, so bad that she never had kids and she eventually just got a hysterectomy. I didn't know that until tonight..
