Switching to Tirosent with HyperT symptoms

Hi Everyone.  I have to switch to new thyroid med from Levoxyl.  I am on 137 mcg Levoxyl, but having some hyperT symptoms: jittery, difficulty sleeping, heart palps, BP went  up to high normal, etc.  Doctor just prescribed 125 mcg TIROSENT.  I am wondering if this dose might still be too high for me at this time.  I have not yet started on it.  Any thoughts?  (Thanks!)

One of those questions that's kind of hard to answer because it's so subject to individual variation.  Tirosint is supposedly more absorbable, so a lesser dose should be required.  However, how much more absorbable is the question.

There's not much you can do but give it a try to see how you react to it.

Since you already felt overmedicated, if you do absorb Tirosint better, it might be too much still.

Do you have labs and reference range to post?

Better to err on the conservative side and lessen the possibility of going hyper.  I hope the 112 mcg works well for you.  I think it's a good choice.

Oops!  I misspelled Tirosint in first post and the editing here does not seem to exist.  And I clicked/tested 'Best Answer' cause I thought it was a check/uncheck ticker box.  Not.  Slight learning curve to this site.  Thanks for replying goolara.  I called doctor's office early this morn to request 112 mcg Tirosint.  From what I've read thus far, seems like a good dose for me to start with.  Will post labs in about a week.

Will get labs done in couple days.  Doctor went ahead with prescription cause I am running low on Levoxyl.  New doctor for me.  Seems like she will work with me to find right med/dose, etc.  Guess I will try the 125 mcg Tirosint.  And see lab results.  I hope I do not have some of the adverse reactions some others have had.
