A friend of mine has thyroid problems and had a very scary complication while at the dentist. Evidently there is a drug they put in the numbing meds that does not react well to people with thyroid problems. She ended up having to be recisitated right there at the dentist! Scary, so make sure you let the dentist know about your condition and see if there is something else he could use.         I also have breaking teeth and dental problems since my thyroid issues started.

Bring an extra pillow with you or ask for one .. it's gonna feel strained .. I had 2 root canals before my surgery and a followup visit right after for another problem and it hurt quite a bit to lean back on its own.

Hi, I'm sorry, but I am relatively new to this stuff so I can't help you, but the more experienced people here will help when they see your post. But could I just ask you, have you experienced recurring broken teeth since you had thyroid problems. Only since it started with me I keep breaking teeth, and keep wondering if it has anything to do with the thyroid condition.
