Taking that 1st Pill, What should I expect?

I am scared to death to take this and scared to death if I dont! I really feel stupid I'm 48! I was overdosed 4 yrs ago on vitamin D and thought I was going to die, so now I'm hypo 4.8 I think Dr said wants me to start off 25mcg of Levothroxine. My question is how will it make me feel after I take it the first time?? PLease help

Well I took the first pill on the 1stsquare and you all were right..It didn't make me feel weird or anything!  
But today is the 6th I think and im so swollen in my face..hands and ankles? My husband was even honest and told me my face looked very swollen..any ideas on why this might be happening and so soon?

you'll probable feel nothing for about 3 weeks.  builds slowly in the body.  so don't worry!

i just started on Levo about 4 months ago.. i, like you, was very worried about the way i would feel. i have to tell you, i feel no different, at all. dont worry, this is something that your body needs, and like mentioned above, if your taking too much, your body will compensate...with that being said, its mre likely that u will need a higher dose opposed to less...good luck at feeling better :)

At that low of a dose you should not feel much of anything-except maybe a gradual improvement.  If  that dose makes it so you have more T4 than you need your body will just make less.

It takes 4-6 weeks for the levo to build in your system, so you won't feel much of anything with the first pill.  You could start feeling improvement though in a couple of weeks.

No worries. I was scared to take my first pill too (also 25mg of Levo), as I expected some terrible side effects. Let me tell you- I had NO SIDE EFFECTS whatsoever. Nothing. And in about 2 weeks I started feeling positvie changes (less fatigue, fewer muscle aches, etc), so for me it was really worth taking.

25mg is such a low dose that the risk of side effects is really low. Especially that your body needs it.
