Weight loss..just curious

Some of you know my history from previous posts on my health situtation.  I always read about how hard it is to literally, or it is virturally impossible to lose weight being hypo. I am considered hypo due to TT. I do have other health issues, but should it not be normal to lose weight so quickly without trying or is there somethig seriously wrong with my body that no blood work will ever catch. All my doctor tests for is the TSH, which i think last time was 2.48. They do think i have addisons, but she is not so sure. Anyway she is trying to get me to see an endocrinologist soon. I have to be honest since last friday i have lost my appetitie, i guess having oral thrush will do that, this is my second time with it and the first time i had it was about two weeks ago, it cleared, but came back. She is running more blood work, but honestly I don't see the reason, nothing ever changes. I keep telling them it is some weird auto immune disease that they will never catch by blood work, my husband thinks it is the tumor I have, but doctor says no way it would cause these symptoms. I have been tested for the cancer CA125 and it is at 11. My question is can the tumor be cancerous without it showing on blood tests. They can not biopsy it because of its location so out of luck there. My fear is the loss of appetite and rapid weight loss. If i do not force myself to eat i lose 2lbs a day. Yes all this stresses me out, but I am at my doctor's mercy.  Just ranting.  Thanks for listening......

Just got a call from my PCP, she finally found an Endocrinologist, but in Austin, TX, about 100 miles from where I live, but not bad.

I am hoping to get some answers, but at the same time, also waiting for them to say, everything is normal.

No real blood test can identify cancer without a biopsy. -- Sorry

Addison's and thrush you say right?

Had anyone taken a look at candida instead of these possibilities?

Addison's is subject to a one time blood test of cortisol- There is really a wide range when classifying someone with Addison's

Did you move forward on any 24 hour saliva testing for adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal fatigue can cause weight loss and hyper symptoms. You may fit into that.

Only true way to tell though is for you to do a 24 saliva test - which most doctors will not even use.

I don't know anything about the CA125 and a range of 11.

I would suppose a tumor could be cancerous - but without a biop - hard to tell. Even biopsies miss some Ca.

Look at ThyCa patients - most walk into surgery with a goiter or nodule that causes them grief and come out finding it was cancer after it was removed. No biop picked that up!
