Hi all...
Just thought I might share the poem I wrote while sitting in my endo's waiting room last thursday afternoon. Endo got a laugh so maybe it can make us all giggle!!! Nothing like a good laugh every now and again!
Thyroid Poem - By Nat!
Shaped like a butterfly; sitting in my neck;
She can cause one to feel electric, with heart palpitations; that’s when I say “Oh heck!!”
Or, she makes me feel quite the opposite; melancholic, tired and cold. It’s h*ll;
All while she’s supposed to be sharing her beauty and power with every cell.
My mind turns to fuzz; my hair thins; my nails break fast
It’s not a blast!
She will not win this battle, I have all the facts
She tries her best; she’s always throwing attacks.
I hate you for everything you have done;
But in the end, I will have won.
You picked a fight with the wrong person;
You thought I would worsen.
With a heap of help I pushed through;
I have been determined to beat you!
Here I am...where are you?
I am here, you’re not. I win. Woohoo!!!!
