CT scan bad for the thyroid
I posted this question before but I can not find it. I am scheduled to have a ct scan of the brain tomorrow. Is this a safe thing to do since I have a large thyroid with atypical cells?
Well I went to a new gp since we just moved here. I told her about my condition. She wanted a ct scan because I am having very very very slight numbness ever once in a while on one side of my face. It is the same side I have jaw pain and other left sided body pain on and off. I question it because in all honesty, the doc didn't seem very knowledgable about anything really. I know that is horrible to say, but it is true.
If your doctor has scheduled this test for you, didn't you ask if there were any risks?
Does this doctor who has you getting the scan know all about your medical conditions?
