What is the 2.4? Is that TSH? And is TSH the only test result you have?
If you have results for FT3 and FT4, please post them, with reference ranges, as it's very difficult to tell anything at all from just a TSH test.
Have you been tested to confirm allergy to the coating and coloring of the pills? Are you on generic levo? Sometimes, all it takes is a change in brand/manufacturer.

You might ask your doctor about Tirosint. It's the newest levothyroxine on the market. It's a gel cap, that contains only water, glycerin and the levo; therefore, it's hypoallergenic and is usually absorbed better than pill forms.
Itching, burning hands could have other causes, as well.
