new thyroid test and a question about propranolol

These are my new thyroid levels

t3 free 2.48     1.70-4.20
t4 free 0.43          0.70-2.00   this is low
tsh   3.28                         0.40-5.40

I am also wondering about how long will i have to take the propranolol.  what has to happen for me to stop taking it.  I am not a patient person and would love for all this to just go away.

any info would be great.

I would be asking to cut down the MMI to 15mg daily and then reassess in 2-3 weeks.
When I was on anti-thyroid eds, I was going HYPO after 2 weeks.
You may be drug sensitive too and react the same.
I was on 40mg of Inderal (propranolol) a day (spaced out evenly through the day).

In the end, NOTHING could control the levels and I had RAI and TT in 2008.

I am taking 20mg of methimazole  a day spaced 12 hours apart.

I take propranolol 10 mg 3 times a day (total of 30 mg a day).

I would be seeing the Doc to decrease your anti-thyroid meds......I presume you are on them?
You need to cut back a bit on them.
What dose are you on and what meds?

Hi I have graves disease.  I found out Jan 29th this year.   I ran out of propranolol (becuase when I break them they crumble sometimes) so I didn't take it for a day.  my heart rate went up to 116.  I am taking them now.  I do feel good though.  Really good.  The only thing is that I do get tired.  I am ready for bed around 10:30.  but I awake at 6:00 in the morning.

Your levels are showing HYPO so you must be experiencing palpataions and thats why the beta blockers.
Once your levels stabilise, you may not need the beta blockers.
It looks like you need an increase if you are on a T4 med...discuss this with your Doc .
Good Luck :o)
