Peggy- I know my insomnia waa caused by my thyroid. It resolved when my TSH got down to about a 2 and I no longer need the meds.

do they know what was causing your insomnia? Is it resolved or are you still having to take medication?

Trazadone alone didn't work for me. Only when I got an rx for Ativan to take along with it did I get relief.

I called and am going to see my GP in the morning to see if she will let me try some trazadone. You are right...this has to stop. I have gone about as far as I can.....but somehow I keep on going ....thank the Lord for that...

Peggy, can you find a GP you trust, tell him about your thyroid problem, and see if there is any other things to try to aleviate your insomnia? I know you have tried many different things. I know it is thyroid related.

Somehow you have got to break the cycle of insomnia, NOW, and get the thyroid levels straightened out when you can. You have to start getting better sleep.

I wish I could make that Endo spend a week in your shoes. Her tune would change quickly.
