Thank you for your comments. I almost forgot that I posted this. She seems to be feeling better because of the medication she is taking. No more body aches and stabbing headache. I'll be seeing her tonight and mention that you commented on my post.

According to what I've read Trigeminal Neuralgia can be caused by a blood vessel or vein pressing on the Trigeminal nerve, by MS, by tumors, or by damage to the Trigeminal nerve during a surgical procedure. I'm not really sure about a bump on the head.
There are different types of "neuralgia" -- you may want to post your question on the Neurology community or do a search on this website -- if you are asking your question about "neuralgia" in general.
