Hello, I wondered if there are any medical experts out there who could shed some light on what could be wrong with me?
Summary of symptoms since 2012:
• Continuous mild Pelvic Pain and soreness (Urologist stated it’s just muscular).
• Red and raised “scarring” around Urethral Meatus of penis, which is inflamed and reddened further after ejaculation (sperm allergy?).
• Dry and flaky red face cheeks
• Dry and flaky red knuckles on both hands
• Splinter haemorrhages on some fingernails and toenails (on all fingernails when eating gluten containing foods continually for 2 weeks or more).
• Vitamin B12 deficiency diagnosed (was 142 pg/ml last year but now 400 after B12 ramp up and 3 monthly injections, folate also was low) after getting tingling and “pins and needles” in fingers.
• Raynaulds syndrome symptoms at least twice a year (some fingers go completely white/pale when in stressful situations or touch cold objects).
• Diagnosed with TMJ on left side of face, which has gradually got better over the last few years, but is exasperated by stress.
• After eating gluten containing foods, from just 20 minutes to up to 3 days later I start to get the following symptoms, that seem to increase with every passing day of gluten consumption, until reaching a peak after 1-2 weeks:
o Mildly sore throat.
o Acute intense pain in abdomen in area where large lipoma was removed in 2012.
o Feeling unbalanced and unsteady on feet (find myself leaning against doorways and walls when talking to people)
o Sore elbows, knees and finger joints
o Vibrations and mild soreness in my chest when talking
o Thick white mucus from nose and mouth sometimes
o Slow heart rate of 40-45 BPM
o Blood pressure of 110/60 (measured using home device, but 130/80 at GP’s)
o Intense heart burn sometimes
o Wanting to vomit sometimes
o Sore intestines and abdomen
o A “buzzing” and jittery feeling in my head
o Sense of wanting to faint or dropping down dead.
o Sometimes feelings of anxiety, aggravation and aggression.
• Other food types seem to give the same symptoms as Gluten to a much lesser extent (but even after 30 weeks of a food diary I cannot pin point them exactly).
• After eliminating gluten and dairy from my diet for 3 months I still get the above symptoms, albeit much reduced. But still get episodes where all these symptoms flare up and become intense, as if I had been eating Gluten continuously for 2 weeks or more (even though I have not eaten any for 3 months).
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, as I have been handed from GP to urologist to GP without anyone able to give me any idea on a diagnosis after 5 years.
