Thanks for the info.... yes I have read into it more and seen Alergies as a cause..... I do have some mild seasonal allergies and an "Itchy skin" condition that I must take zyrtec for on a daily basis or it drives me nuts.

Yes, the count can actually be considered normal. High basophil count (only basophils increased) is generally seen in allergies and worms in stool. Hence you need to rule out these two causes. It can be high in polycythemia vera and leukemia, but this would also increase the RBC and other cells. Count can also be high as a part of chronic inflammation, cancers and radiation but none of these are causes of only high basophils.
Hence rule out worms by a simple stool test, and allergies you would know by your symptoms alone.

actually just saw online that Basophil is normal up to 3% but the blood work paperwork shows 0 - 1.0
