Can you take sleep aids witth anti-biotics?
I am taking cipro for possible infection. I can't sleep at night. am I able to take an sleep-aid to help with rest and sleep?
The only medication u need to watch out for while taking cipro is blood thinners, you can mix over the counter pm med or ambien , but i agree you always need to check with your doctor or pharmacy for the will have a list of all meds you are taking and side effects to all
I agree about asking either your pharmacist or doctor this question. I take a prescription sleep aid and have been on antibiotics in that past and have been able to take both, but I've not been on Cipro and it may also depend on the particular sleep aid you are taking. Many medications, over the counter, herbal, or prescription, can interact badly with some others, so PLEASE ALWAYS check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking things together.
