Diarrhea palor and fainting once every few years

About 3-4 times the last 10 years this has happened. I worry because it is always the same. I wake up in the middle of the night needing to poop. I get to the toilet and it's almost explosive diarrhea and then I feel real light headed break out in a sweat and get real weak. My wife will bring me water and a rag, I'll get back on toilet and finish business and then I'm fine. It never has a pattern with it and this last time was first in a few years but it worried me. When I was young I had vasovagal syncope but not sure if related.

Well - it probably doesn't have anything to do with VS, because you are already lying down - I'd hazard a guess that it is something you ate - and may not remember exactly what it was, since the symptoms you have listed are so infrequent.  Just an idea?? :)
