Dizziness, diarrhea, beau's lines, low BP

I have low BP as a norm, but it has gotten borderline too low.  I'm mid 30s and jog 2 miles 5 days a week, non-smoker and non-drinker.  I have dizziness upon standing every single time I stand up.  I started drinking a gatorade G2 daily and developed diarrhea that has been recurring weekly for the last 3-4 weeks.  I've now stopped the G2 to see if that was causing it.  I developed Beau's lines in my big toenails about 2 years ago after my son was born (first and only child) and they continue to grow in them.  I have not stubbed my toes nor encountered any other trauma to my toes.  I have not had any major or sudden illness to cause them either.

My PCP ran a number of tests on my blood and said everything is within normal ranges.  Are there any other suggestions for what I could have checked?  They suggested a tilt table test but with a high insurance deductible, I want to be careful about the costs I incur.

In my opinion, this doesn't sound like Lyme's, but if you would like it ruled out do it especially since the possibility of exposure to ticks is high.

Thank you for your thoughts.  Would it be advisable for me to have my bloo checked for lyme disease?  We do have a wooded yard with ticks around.  (We live in NW IL)

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
What you have is probably postural hypotension. The blood pressure falls when you stand and causes all the symptoms that you are suffering. Dehydration, certain medications, heart problems, untreated diabetes, and nervous system disorders can all cause this. TIAs or transient ischemic attacks can also be the cause. Certain internal ear problems can also affect blood pressure monitoring by the body by not properly signaling a change in position. Blood pressure monitoring, tilt table test, EKG, heart echo, ambulatory blood pressure recording are all required to reach a diagnosis. See if all these tests are done.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

This could be a dysautonomia.  Try checking out the dysautonomia forum and see if they can suggest anything.

I don't think the Beau's Lines have any connection with the low bp and dizziness.  I would recommend getting the tilt table test done.

You had mentioned you run 2 miles 5 days/week.  I would connect this more with the Beau's Lines not resolving long after your pregnancy.  I have had them myself; used to run quite alot.  I believe it comes from the friction between your toes and the shoes while running.  You can always have a Podiatrist assess the toenails.  There are home remedies you can access online; just google.
