Finger problem????

My ring finger on my left hand goes white and throbs painfully but is numb to the touch whenever it's in cool temperatures. It takes hours of being in warmer temperatures for it to return to normal but it still tingles. The rest of my fingers are fine. What is wrong?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

It sounds like Raynaud’s disease. It is a vascular disorder that affects blood flow to the extremities which include the fingers, toes, nose and ears when exposed to temperature changes or stress.

Other possibilities like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism, peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency and nerve compression also need evaluation.i would suggest an evaluation by a physician.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
