Horizontal eye movement, Noise in ears and shocking sensation in extremities

The only way I can possibly describe my symptoms :
1) My vision shifts to the right in a fraction of a second.
2) I hear noise in my ears
3) and I have, what feels like an electrical shock shooting down to my hands and feet.

This all occurs simultaneously. It can happen several times a seconds, take a break and start again, perhaps a hundred times a minute. It comes on suddenly and last for hours or days. It has been happening more and more often and I sometimes I feel nausea. It can't say what stars this to happen, it comes and last for a few days then stops for a week or two then starts again.

The MRI of the brain went fine. There were no signs of disease or tumor.

The EEG, showed normal, no seizures recorded.

The Basilar & Carotid arteries, were 'fantastic', according to vascular surgeon Dr Steve Owedia. No sign of plaque whatsoever.

ENG - test was normal.

Maybe I should go to the Mayo Clinic ???

Hello Doctor Noopur,

I am better today. I cannot identify a trigger. It is an interesting idea, I have had 3 episodes of eye migraines, one a few months ago, The other two were years ago.

The neurologist thought it might be a medicaton I was taking for nerve ending pain called Lyrica. I have been off of that medication for two months but the symptoms persisted.

My regular doctor thinks it might be caused by Cymbalta, also prescribed for pain management. So today I started a reduction stragegy to come off of it slowly.

Hi,

How are you?
There is a possibility that your symptoms are due to atypical migraine. Atypical migraine can present as tinnitus, visual symptoms and shooting pains, tingling and numbness without the headache. It is therefore also known as acephalgic migraine.
Please discuss this possibility with your doctor as soon as possible.
Have you been able to identify a trigger for these attacks?
