I'm kinda scared.. posted this in two other places

I'm 15 years old, and inconsistent eating is just one of my problems. My parents don't think much to do anything about it, but I'm getting really scared. For about a month now I have been dizzy to the point where when I stand up, everything goes black for at least 30 seconds, shaky to where I can't fill my glass the whole way without spilling it, paranoid to the point where the slightest problem could make me worry for days, irritable to where I would snap on loved ones, (I know, I'm repeating myself. Sorry!) I've been extremely thirsty, and I go days without eating until I stuff myself full and repeat the cycle. The reason I'm posting is because my dizziness is getting terrible, I fell today after standing up too quickly. And that isn't normal for me being a 5'3 115lb majorette.. It may also help to mention I've been diagnosed with ADHD and have been taking 40mg of adderall ever since elementary school. I don't think my medication is the problem seeming as to how I've had no problems until now. Please help!!

So sorry you are suffering this way!  Please do see a doctor - when I was young I hated to eat - so the doctors put me on ironized yeast tablets which gave me a voracious appetite.  Well, now they don't recommend that because it can cause iron-overload disease (which I have).   What you can take that will open your appetite is the Purple Cone Flower Root.  It is the root of the Echinacea.  But taking Echinacea won't help because that's the flower part. -   It has to be the root.

My daughter was/is anorexic and takes Purple Cone Flower Root and has gained some weight.  She is still too thin at 116 - but doing much better than she was at 100.  She is also taking a Weightgainer to help supplement the root treatment.

My mother suggests eating 1/2 an orange with salt.  She says it makes her extremely hungry.

It is good you recognize that something is wrong that can be corrected.  You are definitely anxious, but it's not that something is wrong with you psychologically, so don't let them label you that way.  You are probably reacting to the stimulants and they aren't working for you anymore.  Maybe the dose could be lowered.  I would think you should talk to your doc about tapering off slowly to see how it goes.  You could always try something milder, like ginkgo biloba if you need something.  Or maybe it's not the medication - maybe you are drinking stimulating drinks - energy drinks or soda with caffeine.  Those won't mix well with your medication.

Another cause of anxiety is anemia, so make sure you aren't anemic.  They have blood tests for that.

I think you will be able to get this corrected and start feeling better and regain your appetite.  As it comes back, fill your body with healthy foods, not junk.

I would definitely encourage you to talk to your parents about seeing your primary care doctor or consulting another health care professional about the symptoms your having.  These symptoms you describe sounds pretty severe and certainly arent normal for anyone!  The two things you said that caught my eye the most was the skipping meals and adderall presecription.  For someone your size 40mg of adderall is REALLY strong dose and adderal is a nervous system stimulant which can cause that shakiness.  Adderall is also notorious for suppressing appetite which could contribute to your ability to go days without eating.   I want to stress this is a HORRIBLE combination of stressors on your body.  Your meals need to be more regular, exercise is ALWAYS beneficial and I'd really consider the long term effects of the ADHD medication, that stuff is not to be taken lightly!
