Issues with corners of mouth! Need answers.

For several years, I experience chapped corners of the mouth at random times. There have been times that it goes away then comes back months later, but this time it seems it is here to stay. At first, the corners were extremely itchy, which caused me to constantly touch them and pick at them. They looked so bad that I was embarrassed to hold a conversation. They slowly got better with the use of Aquaphor every night. Better, but still chapped looking. I decided to make a dermatologist appointment, and she prescribed Nystatin and Mupirocin for the time being, and took two cultures, one of the corners of my mouth and one in my nose to check for bacteria. I had to mix the two prescriptions together 2-3 times a day for 5 days. The condition definitely got better, but was still somewhat visible. The results of the cultures came back last week and I apparently had a minor staph infection in my nose, so she prescribed Bactroban Nasal. I had to squeeze half of a small tube of the ointment into each nostril twice a day for 5 days. I finished the prescription a few days ago but my lips look the same! WHAT IS IT? And why won't it go away?! I am embarrassed and just cannot take it anymore. Please help.

I have since this with a B12 deficiency and/or a Iron deficiency.

A simple lab could rule this out.

go online and take a quiz for candida which is bacterial overgrowth.
do not take any antibiotics, they make it worse.
see what other symptoms might be a match. If it is candida, you will have to dedicate yourself to a lot of lifestyle adjustments including NO sugar, alcohol, processed grains, sweet fruit, coffee, chocolate, and eat very very healthy. Plus ginger, garlic, avocado, coconut oil, oil of oregano, and some other herbal remedies.
It's no picnic but you won't get rid of it any other way and doctors will do nothing for you but cost money and frustration. Don't let them give u antibiotics, that is how the problems start for a lot of people.
Good luck.
