Hello~No, never had that done.. In your opinion, do the symptoms warrant that? I will look into, ask Dr, as well.. Thanks for your concern! :)
Thank you so much..Blood test were done over a year ago to check Sed rate & ANA to no avail..I haven't been back since the General Prac said my aches & pains were probably due to going through pregnancy.. The body is never quite the same. However, he failed to realize that I'm not a mother, nor have I ever been pregnant.. Had blood cultures done through GYN. No infections or bacteria/viruses.. The problem now seems to be finding a good Dr... Thank you for your insight.. Those suggestions are certainly going to be looked into..
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I can see you have undergone several tests. Still I am enumerating all possibilities. Well, joint pains with rash can be seen in SLE, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, polymayalgia rheumatica and chronic fatigue syndrome. Gout, though typically affects the great toe, can cause multiple joint pain with rash. Hashimotos Thyroiditis is another possibility. Hayfever and rheumatoid arthritis too should also be ruled out. Crohn’s disease is another possibility. Please discuss these with a rheumatologist. Crohn’s disease is a serious possibility as gut symptoms appear much later—symptoms usually start with joint pains and rash. Thyroid should also be tested for antibodies. Hope these tips help. Take care!
Have they done a muscle biopsy for Dermatomyositis?
Thank you so much for your response.. The rashes are considered to be petechiae(sp) & the nail situation is called "splinter hemorrhages." More than likely I need to visit a Rheumatologist.. It's just so frustrating & tiring.. But I must get to the bottom of it~Thanks for the encouragement!!
well im no doctor but it seems to me you have some sort of arthritis. Perhaps reiters syndrome or something. im sure your doctors have run tests for this though so i have no idea. just stay strong because you WILL get to the bottom of it. good luck
