Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you had been sitting prior to starting to walk then it could just be a temporary loss of function as sometimes happens. Once the circulation is restored, the limb becomes normal. However if you had been walking and it started all of a sudden, then it could be a TIA or transient ischemic attack. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.  Do consult a doctor once and get this investigated. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Yes it is normal, what happened was your foot fell asleep. While you were sitting your foot had no movement and so the blood stopped flowing making it numb. When you started walking your foot hadn't woken up yet so it was still technically sleeping and so that is why it was dragging...I hope that answered your question.
