Ovarian cyst

Hi all - I'm at my wits end! I've seen 3 different doctor's over the last few months and am still just sitting and waiting. I do FINALLY have my Gyno appointment for 4 weeks from now, but no doubt this will just be another examination/consultation, followed by however long waiting until they've decided what to do.

On my first u/s they found a large cyst growing on the outside of my left ovary. It measured 5.7 cm in diameter. My ovary was also enlarged.
The follow up u/s 3 weeks later says the cyst decreased in size by 1cm - however I was told that 1cm could just be the angle the 'pictures' were taken.

In the second report it states "minor echogenic debris within the lesion is visible on this examination. Minor mural irregularity now visible at one margin." What does this mean??

I'm about to lose my new job due to the horrible symptoms I've experienced these last few months which have led to time off. Symptoms include: severe nausea/vomiting, bleeding almost every week, unable to have sex, continuous discomfort and pain in the left side of my abdomen, which increases when I need to go to the bathroom and extreme tiredness (I'm guessing because my body is so worn out).

Despite trying hormones to "turn off" my reproductive system, in the hope to control the bleeding, and taking oral contraceptive, painkillers, anti-inflammatories etc, my symptoms are as strong as the day I first went to the Doc.

Can someone please help me understand if it's normal for a cyst to cause so much havoc, I've never had cysts before. I'm 25 years old, newly-wed and starting a new career - to say my frame of mind isn't the healthiest would be an understatement! I feel like this is going to continue to drag out (it's already been almost 3 months!) and as a result I will lose my job.

In your experience what is the usual treatment once I see the Gyno? It would be so nice to have an idea of what might happen, the Doctor's are all very vague about it and I feel like I'm about to lose my mind with worry.

Any advice, suggestions or encouragement would be so greatly appreciated!!!!
