Pain at the back of my tongue on the left side

Hi! So recently I’ve (teenager, female) been having this weird muscle-like pain at the back of my tongue on the left side. It comes and goes, often appearing after eating, drinking or a lot of talking etc. the also hurts more when I swallow and the pain sorta momentarily travels to my left ear when I do so?? Also, no physical weirdness - no swelling, sores or discolouration.
My friend says she’s been experiencing the same thing so is it like contagious or something? Thank you!!
