has anybody ever heard of soups, apple sauce and other foods of this consistancy getting runny after eating a few spoons of it. No he doesn't drool into it. :)

I think he is ADD but he has never been diagnosed as his Mother is not a believer. Our son is ADD. My husband is a very hard worker and doesn't know how to just sit and relax unless he is uterlly exhausted. Also has had arithmia (sp?). Very small throat to the point that it is hard to eat unless lots of excess water. Tonsil infection non stop. Is under a lot of stress from his parents and sibs.

Actually as far as I know the apple sauce etc thins the saliva. This thin saliva on mixing with apple sauce, prunes, chicken broth etc cause the thinning due to action of enzymes. Those having thick tenacious mucus have this problem. This is found in people with some neurological disorders too. Does your husband have any other medical condition too?
