Pelvic Pain, undiagnosed

I am a 35 y.o. woman and my problems started over 12 yrs ago, with pregnancy. I had moderate to severe pelvic instability with SI separation that was treated during pregnancy. Shortly after the C-sec, I began having many problems with pelvic pain and several surgeries to remove ovarian cysts (simple corpus luteal cysts) and scar tissue. The issue of the pevlic instability came into question, for which I saw a physiatrist and underwent prolotherapy and physical therapy. I was still having problems with ovarian cysts and was put on continuous birth control to prevent ovulation. I ended up having 4 surgeries for the cysts and adhesions. My gyno finally agreed to remove the ovary and I hoped my problems would be solved. A few weeks before the surgery, my pelvic pain became severe and poorly controlled with pain meds. During the surgery, she took the right ovary and tube, removed some uterine fibroids and endometriosis. My appendix was suspicious looking so that was taken out as well. A little over 6 months later, I'm having the same pain and we can't seem to figure out why. During this whole process, I've had nearly every diagnostic test under the sun. From colonoscopies to a uterine-sacral nerve block. I'm at my wits end with this and would really appreciate some advice or guidance.

I suggest that you visit another MD. I had 2 MD's that investigated my case for problems that I have suffered from for many years and were able to tell me what was happening. Presently, I am being treated and I feel much better. No other MD's were able to assit me or come up with the proper diagnosis.

I wish you the best.

Feel better.

I have known some women whose mysterious pelvic pain turned out to be endometriosis growing in unexpected places, such as the bladder or the bowel. Perhaps there is more hiding in there that the surgeon missed.

I am providing you with some advice due to my personal experience. Please note that I am not a physician.

If you have pelvic pain during intercourse and symptoms of a vaginal infection that keeps recurring, you may want to research more about:

Vulvar Vestibulitis

I hope this helps. Take care.
