Possible Broken Toe?

About two days ago I woke up with an agonizing pain in my right big toe. It was swollen, throbbing, and I could not put any weight on it. Come now, I still cannot bare to put weight on it and it is still throbbing. I cannot find and cuts or small bite marks as I was outside that night. I do not remember having any injuries to the toe, but I did hurt it two months ago... I have no idea what this could be. Help!

It sounds like gout.

Interestingly,  if you eat a bunch of Bing Cherries (they're in the grocery stores fresh produce right now) you should feel some immediate relief it is is in fact gout.

Gout is caused by high uric acid buildup in the joints of the big toes,  and it IS very painful!

Google it and see if this sounds like what you have.

If this persists over three days see a podiatrist, rather than a G.P. They really know their foot stuff.
