Post Viral ?

I have been sick for 7 weeks now. It started in the grocery store one day, I felt like I was going to pass out all of a sudden, no vertigo, just fall out, I didnt and it went away. Thought it was odd and then nothing else happend for two more days. At work one day, I have a very stressful job, and we were arguing and I slammed my hand down on the desk and when I did I got a very bad head rush and very lighteaded  like I was going to pass out, it subsided and then 2 days later I was getting panic attacks afraid the head rush thing would come back and it did, Thi stiem I was very quitely sitting at my desjk reading e mails when I got one of those head rushes. Now I havent had one since  just more constant lightheadiness along with general malaise, like having the flu but no fever and add in the lightheadiness part. I have had a lyme test, thyroid test, heart holster test, 24 hour urine collection to look for adrenal gland issues. an MRI and Cat scan with contrast on the brain. Everything came back negative or no issues. Met with the neurologist and he thinks it could be post viral symptoms even though all I had prior to the incedent was a lot of sneezing no fever or even remember being sick.  So I am still dizzy and still sick to my stomach.  What else could this be?

Cant be pregnant, I am a male. I also have occasional head temors and night sweats, the wierd sensation in my head is when I first lay down to sleep at night, like marbles rolling around in my head or shaking in my head. Very wierd sensation. Docs also are saying possibly MS and we are doing even more testing, blood, stool and ENT.

That is the problem with these symptoms, it can be one of a hundred different things. Can cancer cause this? very low probability, but I am glad to hear you are going to see an ENT. Hopefully, he can rule out different causes to find the real one without too much delay.

I wish you the best.

Thank you for your response, last Friday I had one good day and Saturday morning until it came back as if it had never gone away. Can you have a cancer of soem type and have that happen? I also have an appointment with ENT to see if maybe Labrythitis is a possibility or an inner ear thing. But I have no Vertigo just dizziness and lightheaded.

I agree this could be post-virus. Especially after what I have seen this year.  We had a virus with fever and sore throat that moves into a head cold with chronic coughing and sneezing. and when it seems to be setting down it moves in to the lungs flaring up bronchitis with coughing that would last for weeks. It will completely drain you and leave you weak and lightheaded.  A number in our area that picked of the virus, were weakened to the point of contracting secondary pneumonia. Your symptoms sound similar, bad news is I have seen this run it course from 4 to 10 weeks. It is nasty, especially for those with pre-existing  lung problems.
If it is of the same strain, you should be getting close to the end of it.

Best Wishes.
