Sharp stabbing pain on left side of head

I have been having this stabbing pain in the left side of my head, It happens suddenly after like a minute or 2.
First i thought its due to stress, but now i am concerned?

Migraine is a possibility you cannot rule out. It can cause nausea and dizziness. Cervical nerve compression due to spondylitis, canal stenosis, slipped disc, bulging disc etc is also possible. Internal ear problems too should be looked into. If all these are normal, then you would need CT scan of the brain. TMJ, temporal arteritis and trigeminal neuralgia too should be investigated.
Consult a good neurologist and rule out these possibilities.
