Shoulder and back burning pain

I've had many tests on my heart, all say its ok, I do suffer from anxiety - largely because I have a nagging doubt the symptoms I suffer form are related to an un diagnosed heart problem.

I have left shoulder pain, sometimes the right also and quite often between my shoulder blades too. It doesnt seem to be related to exercise, laying down however often relieves it. Sometimes I just stand up and its there.

My doctor tells me I have some arthritis in my shoulders and have crepitus but has given no suggestion on how to treat this, I am taking propranalol now as my pulse was very high and I occasionally got palpitations and runs of ectopic heart beats - I've only been taking the beta blockers for 2 days and my palpitation symptoms have not occurred, I feel more relaxed, my shoulder is still hurting though, it feels like a burning pain. If I tilt my head forwards as far as I can my back feels tight and the sensation I get in my back is like the burning in my shoulder only much less severe. At times its almost as though I feel like I am wearing a necklace, can feel a sensation along my collar bones and around the back of my neck also.

I have been to the doctor so many times, it always takes a long time to describe the symptoms as its seldom the same doctor, once they have asked the heart related questions and ruled that out they always focus on anxiety or sometimes heartburn.  Im seeing a counsellor for anxiety and dont believe I can drink any more gaviscon! I dont think its heartburn.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have pain between shoulder blades, and have been given a clean chit regarding heart attack then gall bladder issues, liver dysfunction and duodenal ulcer should be looked into. Take care!
