This is rather complex my dear.
You're suffering from some significant drug side effects AND drug interaction effects and that's why your recent drug adjustments were made in an attempt to correct, something which should have been prevented
Potassium along with sodium regulate & control, more or less, the delicate balance of intra and extra-cellular fluids.
Potassium influences a large number of important bodily functions and a severe deficiency can even result in death if not corrected right away.
It should be one of your top priorities and concerns.
This deficiency alone is likely causing the abnormal ECG along with a cascade of other issues and symptoms including the cramping.
Your lasix/potassium chloride treatment has to be monitored frequently, since the lasix reduces the effectiveness of the potassium chloride.
Your Co-enzyme Q10 is greatly reduced because of your intake of Atorvastatin, so it might be a good idea to look into this as well.
It is vital for mitochondrial ATP (cellular energy) production, but discuss this with your doctor as it might decrease anticoagulant effectiveness, if you are on anticoagulants or if you are a candidate for anticoagulants.
It's still beyond me that you were on 80mg of Atorvastin AND
Gemfibrozil (you did not mention the dose amount)
There's a MAJOR interaction between these 2 drugs, which should have been explained to you by your doctor or your pharmacist.
Nonetheless, you must watch your carb consumption. Carbs will increase your triglycerides and your very small density lipoprotein, which are both the
most damaging to the endothelial cells of your arteries.
Avoid alcohol and sweets as much as possible!
I hope this helps, however, please note that my suggestions and comments are not intended as a substitute for medical advice.
Best wishes,
Niko
My husband is on lasix with swollen legs. lasix is used to drain the water out of your system. You don't want to ever drink alot of water when you are on lasix because you are already swollen with water. and always elevate your feet. My husband started out with 20 mg and when his water was not draining he went to 40 mg. He has diabetes so he is now at 80 mg of lasix which is helping him, on another thought, too much lasik is bad for you.
