Hi,
I haven't got the book yet, but I check some pages at Amazon and looks nice, lots of graphs along the text.
I've read on other forums (curezone) that people have controlled gas and fecal with detox, colon cleansing and probiotics, so I really wish it helps you. I have tried  this for 60 days with some improvement ( less gas, less odor ), so maybe I should try longer.

Thank God, my celiac test and giardia tests were negative.
Celiac causes lots of gas. Check if eating wheat, barley or bran upsets your stomach. I'm also lactose intolerant...
In case your interested, this site has cheap tests for allergies a othe stuff (testsymptomsathome.com).

The GI Dr was intrigued with my sudden weight loss (due to diet and colon cleansing) and ordered a CAT Scan of my abdomen.

On the other hand, the shrink told me I'm 'really' depressed, so she put me on medication ( anti-depresants ). After 2 days, I feel slightly better -- negative thougthts are less overwhelming --, but she warned me it might take a month to see improvements. I'll stop taking the naturopath stuff, just in case it reacts against the antidepresants.

Sorry to bring up a painful subject. I'm glad your ok now :)

Have you and Tony ever compared notes as far as when your symptoms first began?  Your conversations help me to understand what my boyfriend is going through.  It makes me wonder if there is a common thread somewhere such as, a childhood illness, meds, allergies, acute stress, alcohol, etc.  The internet is full of advertisements and it's nice to find things out first hand.

Hi Sage, I think the background is a good question. In my case, the trigger was stress (job+grad school) accompanied of bad diet

Hi Tony,

Hmmmm this sounds familiar.  My boyfriends disorder started when he first moved out on his own (bachelors diet) combined with stress from work and school. He has always been someone who takes things to heart, I think hes finally seeing it doesnt matter what other people think say or do. (Yeah!!!)
You sound like a completely different person from your earlier posts, that can only make things easier.

That sounds great. Be careful when taking anti-depessants but i trust you know what your doing. I'm waiting to receive my book also =). Sage brings up a good point, comparing notes is not a bad idea.

There was another thread that you can read to find out more Sage. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/gastro/messages/37953.html
