Why do I have extreme finger sensitivity?

I’ve always had extremely particular fondness to the touch of certain materials and almost obsess over the need to be rolling a fabric or something between my fingers- I’m constantly told it’s nervous or anxious habit but I do question the fact that it is not ever one item- there are multitude of things that my finger tips feel very sensitive to and others that are repulsive. Also I’ve noticed the outside and occasionally inside of just my right hand index finger is EXTREMELY sensitive. If I even happen to graze it I feel an immediate shooting ..tingling/tickeling almost light shock feeling go through my arm right to my heart. It is absolutely unbearable sometimes but not in a painful way- like an irritating maybe, but good? It’s very hard to describe- id like to know what (if) there is a cause or perhaps others who experience similar sensations or have similar obsessions with textures?
