Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The values alone may not be helpful. Different labs have different range of normal values. Generally normal values at 8 a.m. are 6 - 23 mcg/dL (microgram/deciliter—same as your unit). A value of 23.5 is not necessarily high. However, if you have symptoms, then an adrenal tumor or Cushing’s should be suspected. Pregnancy, emotional stress, hyperthyroid states and obesity too can marginally increase the value.
The evening value should drop by 90% --making it about 2 or less. Hence a value of 4.8 mcg/dL is on a higher side.
However all these are subjective to lab you use and the symptoms you have. Discuss with your doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
