My mother is 77 years old. In december we find out that she has high blood pressure, anemic, cholesteral. Doctor put her on medication for all of the problems. The problem she has is that on the lower part of her body from her belly bottom down to her mid thighs she has this warm sensation that  gets hot. I mentioned it to the doctor, but she does not seem to be that worried. can you let me know if there are symptoms or what might cause it.
Thank you,
Marjorie

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Considering her age, high blood pressure and high cholesterol there is a chance she has deep vein thrombosis. This needs to be seriously considered as this can cause further complications. The other possibility is hormonal imbalance of menopause casing localized flushing.
Hope this helps. Do discuss this with her doctor and get her examined. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Is she taking niacin?  Has she been checked for blood clot?  Have the checked her white blood cell count to see if she has infection?  Does the warmth start in the abdomen?  Have they located a source of blood loss causing the anemia?  If she had low RBCs, did they check her kidney function?
