Hi,

How are you doing now?

Have you copnsulted a doctor for your symptoms? Has a chest xray been done?

Have you tried OTC pain killers ,local pain relief medication applications and hot fomentation? Has it helped with your symptoms?

Have you been able to quit smoking?

Let us know the latest and also what your doctor advises.

Post us if you need any other information.

Hi
Hope you are feeling better just wanted to throw my experience in there.. I have experienced the exact same feeling when I was younger and would swim alot. Maybe it was a reaction to the chlorine fumes or maybe since we take deeper breaths than usual, the smog or pollution has more effect than usual.  But I know the exact feeling you are talking about, and it always went away after I stopped swimming alot. If yours doesnt then definately go to dr.

Hi,

there can be many reasons for the pain that you have at this moment. Some of them may include some kind of trauma or injury at the site, fracture or injury to the ribs, pleuritis etc..

Smoking may aggravate any of these problems and many more and could be one of the reasons for the disorder. therefore given the dangers associated with smoking, you should quit it as early as possible.

Further you may try OTC pain killers ,local applications and hot fomentation for now and await relief for one-two days. in case the pain does not cease or gets worse you should visit your doctor immediately. You may also rest a few days and avoid exercises such as swimming.

Let me know if you need any more help.
