Parotid and salivary glands

Over the last month, I developed salivary gland infection slight swelling on the left side and people notice only if I tell them. I fell constant blockage in my left ear and sometime when I press the gland I feel some relief as either mucous or blocked saliva goes through my throat. The left jawline is quite different to the right as there are slight bumps or skin is more tight. I was freaked out when I read Internet about causes and did 4 HIV and STD tests all negative as 6 months ago I had un protected oral sex with a CSW.  X ray was taken to rule out calculi and no calculi deposits were found. Can anyone say what the issue could be

That is exactly where my pain was and my md knew straight away. There is a little tube in the back of your cheek and it may just need a clean out. Good luck!

I do not have any pain but just a weird feeling that something is blocked. I do not have any trouble eating food. Occasionally now almost once every day I have a jaw clicking no ice with no pain. When I try to clear my nasal passage to swallow mucous I feel something near my ears are blocked. Just near the bottom of left ear along the jaw line there is slight swelling compared to the right side. You ccan see it if you observe carefully or use your hands to feel both sides. Doctor has ordered a full blood test and an ultra sound scan. I am awaiting those results to rule out a tumor or infections. I just feel the left side is a bit stretched or tight

Yep. You probably have a blockage or part blockage of the gland. Does it pain when you put food in your mouth and the saliva tried to come in? That happened to me and 2 years ago I had a 20 minute operation to clear out the saliva tube. It was worth it, painless and such a relief!
