Hello,
This swollen bump can be a boil, abscess, cyst, herpetic sore (if you are sexually active) or some benign skin growth. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause cysts.
Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
I suggest you to get it checked from your doctor as you may need FNAC ( fine needle aspiration cytology) to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
It could just be a pimple. When you get a pimple down in that area, they hurt, and they take a long time to go away. If its making you feel THAT umcomfortable however, try to go see the doctor. till then, just make sure that you keep the area clean at all times, and try not to irritate the bump anymore.
Hi,Sorry to hear your uncomfortable ,It sounds like you have a few things going on,with the dry skin around your scrotum and any other sensitive areas try Eucerin cream and also over the counter female yeast cream it will help with the itching -if your working in a hot kitchen with steam ,it could be a yeast type infection ,and yes anyone can get them, men working around steam between their balls and between cheeks . Also the bump sounds like a really bad pimple, ingrown hair can get really big pimple like or a cyst, they all can be extremely painful ,you will probably have to have that looked at by a dermatologist or if you have a very close friend take a good look at it with a flashlight . If it has a white head on it and if it can be drained opened and cleaned out with some anti-bacteria liquid. I hope you can get some relief, good luck!
