I've never heard of something this specific related to hypothermia. It could simply be a healing process related to muscle damage (like a bruise). If it's still bothering you, or interfereing with your ability to breath, touching base with a doctor to rule out Kidney or Biliary involvement.
Good luck, and keep us posted!
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Either there is a muscle pull or there is a bruise you got while scuba diving. Other than that a ribcage pain can be due to pleurisy or inflammation of lining of lung. Duodenal ulcer is another possibility. Liver and gall bladder issues are a third possibility.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
Thank you for your response. I am still in Costa Rica....still with the same pain that is external. I push all around in the area, and only seems to be as you mentioned a muscle pull. Guess it will just take time. Thanks so much and will see my doctor back home next week if no improvement. Have a super Holiday!
