Ugh... please help!

Hi, this might be kinda long ^^. My symptoms all started May of '07, first was a supposed panic attack "weird tingling pain in left arm/shoulder/chest". A month Later, incredible pain in my lower abdominal area, was DX'ed with IBS. 2 months after, chest pain again, this time DX'ed with Costodrondritis (inflammation of the rib cage joints). 2 Months after that, I passed out at work, went to hospital, was DX'ed this time with near syncopy, now I have extremely weird headaches, like I'm about to pass out, heavy pressure on chest, drenching night sweats every night, weird, sharp stabbing pains all over body that lasts 1 to 2 seconds, difficulty breathing sometimes (I have to catch my breath).
Also, all my lymph nodes are swollen, they hurt like crazy, numbness in my left hand (little finger up to my wrist) Lack of sleep, I will sleep 3-4 hrs, then wake up and stay up for 8-12 hrs, loss of hunger, I used to eat two Mc D's hamburgers, now I can only eat half of one, not losing weight though.
Very hard for me to concentrate, respond, walk without stumbling, got bit by a flea 2 months ago (of course I scratched it, but has not disappered) cold feet, though I have a pulse to both feet. Really scary and weird nightmares, involuntary muscle spasms all over my body, my legs, hands, eyes, and chest. Swollen and strained left side of neck, now to the right as well.

Been to 6 doctors, all of them DX'ed me with something totally different each time, said I was fine. Last time I went was last week to the ER, again, my blood pressure and BP was pretty high (186/89) gave me Nitro, dropped to 165/80, but was still having the about to leave my body/passing out feeling.

Tests done to me: Cat Scan of head, Full body x-ray, multiple blood tests, including for lymphoma, HIV, AIDS, I think Lyme, but I might be wrong =/. Pee tests, Stool Tests, even a Stroke/Seizure/MS tests done by a Nero Doc, EKG/EMG all were fine.

As I am typing this, I am sweating like it's 100 degrees in my house, but it's actually 75, my sternum is hurting so bad, that I have to take short breaths. I feel really confused right now.... I mean I graduated College at the age of 20, but I can't remember how to spell simple words right, I'm also a pro gamer (go to gaming tournys and play for money... but now I cannot do that. Never really been sick besides the Flu, twice. I smoke cigarettes, about half a pack a day now (since I'm stressed beyond reason) But here's the real kicker, no over the counter meds work at all (all the anti-inflammatory ones) so, I have now resulted to drinking... yea... nearly an alcoholic now since I actually have to drink everyday just to function like I used too, I have an 8 month old, precious little boy, and a very loving wife... but it's starting to get to her since when I drink, I have weird thoughts that I have never had about mine and her's life together (behavior and mood swings, I used to drink Sake on the weekends, and never did that to her, but other things which I no say *blush*)

Like I said, this is really long, but I need help so flipping bad! BTW, I'm 26, and was in total health before this, and no trauma or anything bad happened to me before this.

Check out the Fibromyalgia/CFS community here on MedHelp. I have both Fibro, and CFS, and I have about 90% of your symptoms- the lymph nodes, flu-like symptoms, and trouble concentrating are classic CFS symptoms.

I contracted CFS after coming into contact with mouse poo during a session of spring cleaning. I know mouse poo can contain all kinds of diseases, the same with flea and tick bites.

So, you might look into Fibro, and CFS... and see what you can find out.

Jules, sure does sound like she/he knows what they are talking about. Separating the lumps into before and after is a great idea
It sounds allot like your symptoms and should be brought to your Dr.'s attention ASAP.
Keep us posted on your endeavors and any progress!

May of 2007??? Sheesh...kudos to you for hanging in there.

Here's what I think. You need to separate your symptoms into BFB and AFB--Before Flea Bite and After Flea Bite--because I really think you contracted something when the flea bit you and then you scratched the bite immediately afterwared. In all likelihood, you rubbed feces and other nasty material into the open wound. My money is on typhus, since you've developed a rash, swollen lymph nodes, high blood pressure, headache, muscle pain, chills, fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, and all that jazz.

The good news is, the type of typhus you probably have--endemic typhus--is fairly treatable with antibiotics, but you have to do this quickly in order to fully recover. If it isn't typhus (and I'd be surprised--do you have a cat? where did the "flea" come from, and are you sure it was a flea?), you may want to get checked for tapeworms, as feces of fleas that enter into your bloodstream may contain tapeworm eggs that can actually hatch in your intestines and infect you. This would be a potential explanation for your green feces--typically, stool is green when it's being "rushed" out of your bowels, because the bacteria doesn't have enough time to "turn it into the appropriate color", if that makes any sense.

This doesn't sound like Lyme disease...this sounds a lot more aggressive and it seems like you had a sudden onset of a new set of symptoms about two months ago. Deer ticks transmit Lyme disease, so unless you remember having one of those on you or seeing a Bull's Eye rash (which occurs in up to 50% of people infected with Lyme disease), chances are you have something else. My Mom and brother have both had Lyme disease (one of them had it for nearly a year before being diagnosed), and it presented radically differently from your case--that's not to say that every person will present with the same symptoms, but I think you would at least experience facial paralysis if you've had undiagnosed Lyme disease for some time.

Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication won't help you, because you're in need of a lot stronger medication to eradicate what's plaguing you...especially since it isn't your own body (you can take away your body's response to the disease, but the disease will still be there, attacking what it can, so you'll still feel some kind of a response from whatever it's attacking).

Good luck and let me know how you're doing!

Hey, Thank You for your response, and I will look up the stuph you said.

K, my lymph nodes range in size, from little ball shapes, to big bean sized ones about half an inch in size, they are in my left armpit, left breast/peck, both arms, both legs, chin, and near my left ear. There is alot of bed blotches of patches in these area too.

My stool... extremely weird, I'll feel like I gotta really, REALLY go, but when I do, I have this mucus type, green diarrhea, and it's only a tiny bit.

Drinking, makes it like never even exists, all my lymph nodes go down alittle, my weird 1/2 second headaches go away, and the muscle spasms quit... but I can't really stand drinking anymore... now my throat is completely raw, and I have a small bulge there as well.

And, my temp varies with the pain, the more I'm in pain, the higher it goes, usually now it's between 99.8 to 101.6, I know I have an infection, but either the doctors have no clue what it is, or can't find it. I hope this all helps.

Thanks again

Goodness you have allot going on. I can totally relate to being stressed about your health.
You cited you have swollen lymph nodes. Where are they and how big are they.
There are tons of medical problems associated with swollen lymph nodes so its hard to say at this time what you may have.
You may want to start looking at lipomas, adiposis, dolorosa, hypothyroidism, just to name a few starting points.
I know this is going to sound gross... but, hows your bowels. Allot of med. problems show with the type of stool you are presenting with.
As well as dryness of your skin, ears, eyes, etc. Sleeping problems... concentration problems on and on.
Write all of your symptoms down and as you research.... and discover other symptoms that you didn't think were related.... add them to the list.
When you drink does it make you hurt worse or do you feel a little better?
How about your temperature? Is it low, high or normal. If it runs low... it could be thyroid or several other things as well.
I like a good drink on occasion as well but, drinking does not help the problems at all and will just add to it.
I know I haven't given you a direct answer, because at this point it is hard to say without more testing and research.
I hope someone can help you obtain a direction you are seeking.
Best wishes
