Hi, I went to a few doctors, and they haven't noticed anything unusual, but when I am standing my upper right stomach sticks out a bit further than the left side. When I push on it it is kind of hard. All three doctors didn't notice any inflammation of my liver... Any ideas of what it could be? P.S. I have had this OCD thing for the past 2 and a half months where I continuously poke that area :S. Maybe I tightened or strengthened the muscles? LOL. It feels a bit harder on the right side than the as well.. Possibly just bigger muscles there or...? By the way my doc said my rib cage is a little bit inflamed on the right side and apparently my grandad, mom and aunts get this all the time.. I am a 20 year old male.

There is a strong possibility it is costochondritis (inflammation of the joint between rib and sternum. The inflammation around the joint area gives sharp pain on taking a breath. This can also cause tenderness on pressing the area which pains. Heat application, analgesic creams and tablets help.
Chances are also that you have duodenal ulcer, enlarged liver or may be gas due to acidity or inflammatory bowel disease. An ultrasound of upper abdomen should be done. Please discuss with your PCP. Take care!

Hm.. okay, so is it possible for costochondritis to last for this long?? It's really starting to irritate me and I can stop poking at it haha.

Also, I did a little experimenting with ym OCD and poked the left side and now i gegt the pain in the same area as I do on my right side.. Is it possible I inflammed my organs from pressing on them obsessively for this period of time??
