swollen labia majora.. boil?

I recently shaved about 3days ago and hours after I found that my labia majora was swollen and very sore. Now I see a few pimple like bumps and was told to soak in epson salt and that it may have been ingrown hairs. On my return from the store I found that puss was coming from those small bumps but the area was still swollen and I proceeded to soak.. I again called my mother and she said it was more than likely a boil. Now some puss has come out but not all of it and the area is still swollen but not AS sore as before but still sore nonetheless. I dont really want to puncture it or 'bust' it more but I find that more puss comes out when it is pressured. I have had this boil/pimple like thing before and but in other locations (fold of thigh/groin) but just let it rupture and heal naturally but it being in this location bothers me more and is quite irritating... Any suggestions of what to do and if this is truly a boil or not?

Thank you! What are the different anti-inflammatory I can take by mouth and local antiseptic lotions?... the bump/pimple is now extremely visible and the labia has gone down but is still a little bit swollen (appears to be bigger than the other one) but it not sore. Now it seems that the main problem is this bump which now has a hardened area around it and possibly more puss in it.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Well, either the labia has got infected or there is a severe allergic reaction either to the blade or any lotion you used. You can take an anti-inflammatory by mouth and apply a local antibiotic cream and see. Please do not puncture it without consulting a doctor. Keep the area clean and dry. Apply a local antiseptic lotion every time you use the washroom. If this does not help, consult a doctor.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
