what is wrong with me

for about 8 years i have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue.
the symptoms of this for me are
pain in muscles and ends of muscles
fatigue made worse by exertion, a quick rest recovers me but continued exertion will make me bad for days.
Sore hips.
3 years ago i developed double vision that went away after a few months
2 years ago i quit smoking and developed numb/tingling sensations on the left side of my face, the doctors put it down to quitting smoking
1 year ago the double vision returned, but i could refocus and it went away, 3 months later it was permanent double vision.
the facial numbness i only seem to notice when i am tired , but now includes most of my left side.
and within the last month it feels like i have something stuck in my throat, and when i swallow it feels like i am swallowing something much larger than i am.
i tried to tell a neurologist, but he seemed more interested in my vision problems and brushed aside without listening.  he is going to send me to see a myasthenia gravis specialist, but to be honest it is now starting to worry me a bit.
i am a very passive person, does anyone have any ideas on how to get the neurologist to listen, or what may be wrong with me? or questions i should ask my doctors

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Something stuck in the throat can be due to post nasal drip, if you have recurrent cold and sinusitis. It can also be gastric reflux due to weak esophageal sphincter or due to hiatal hernia. It can also be an allergic reaction to something you eat. So log in what you eat and see whether there is something common on days you feel particularly bad. Take omeprazole and antacid gels and see if it helps. You will need to consult your PCP and rule out these causes one by one.
A very high blood pressure or a blood pressure that suddenly spikes up can cause pressure symptoms, mild hemorrhage and leaking etc in the brain which can result in diplopia or double vision. This happens due to brain damage. High BP can also cause hemorrhage in eye and subsequent diplopia. Eye strain, squint, poor eye sight and astigmatism (where a cylindrical lens in needed as alignment is defective) can all be the cause. So consult an eye specialist and get a complete check up.
Ministrokes, thyroid disturbances, head trauma, and palsy of the 4th and 6th cranial nerve can also cause a similar visual disturbance. However 6th Nerve palsy is ruled out.
Benign intracranial hypertension due to poor CSF absorption can be another cause. The patient has headache that is worse in morning and at night and this is often accompanied by diplopia. So if you have a headache too then this too should be looked into. Please discuss this with a neurologist. Take care!
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP to run tests and examination to clinch a diagnosis.
Take care!

Check your solar plexus to see if it has shifted.
In the morning, on an empty stomach, lie down on a flat surface on your back, and press your finger or thumb in the navel. You will feel a throbbing sound just like that of the heart. That means the system is O.K.

If this throbbing is found anywhere above the navel, it means that Solar Plexus has shifted upwards. Sameway, if such throbbing is found anywhere below navel, it means that Solar Plexus has shifted downwards.
Second check.
Take a string and measure the distance from your navel to both the nipples on your chest. If the distance is not the same, then your solar plexus has shifted.
