I have had the x rays done and I am not sure what test but they put a tube inside me and fulled it with something into my bladder. Very painfull. I am not sure it this is a cystoscope or not, let me know how yours turns out. I have lower back pain also plus pain on the right side of my stomach. I just thought it was maybe my IBS acting up. But this week I felt so bad I figured it must have been a UTI so I had on hand some bactirum and started taking that. I feel better now. But it want last long. It will be right back. The doc have never considered kidney stones on me. Or at least they have not mentioned it.
Please let me know what they find out about you and what type of test this is? Good luck I will be praying for you.
i am a 45 yr. old female....i too have had urine tests done and they have all been found to have traces of blood...i recently had xrays of my kidneys done and renal calcification was found....the dr. isn't sure if that is the cause of the blood, therefore i am having a cystoscope done to check my bladder....has anyone had these tests?...if there is a small amount of calcification in the kidneys that isn't bothersome, is anything done?...also, i do have lower back pain on occasion...at the time i didn't think the two were related....what about kidney stones?..is that the same as calcifications?
Thank you for your comment. As far as sexual activity that is not the cause.
Hi,
Sexual activity increases the chance of getting an infection. It could be possible to take a single course of an antibiotic to prevent the development of infection when there would be such activities involved.
Increasing fluid intake to lessen the chances of stasis within the urinary system may be helpful If you have access to a toilet for most of the day – this may be worth a shot.
While it may be frustrating to have undergone work-up and then nothing specific was found – it would be important to consult should anything new arise.
Stay positive.
