Discharge, painful urination, searching for advice.

Hey everyone, I am a 20 year old male and about a month ago I noticed some sticky white discharge at the end of my penis and a few days later a very slight, completely bearable burning sensation when I urinate. I have recently gotten into a new relationship however we had been having sex for about 3 months before this showed up and have no suspicion of cheating. So, I went to the doctor, they tested me and all the results came back negative, but they put me on a 2 week prescription of doxycycline just in case. This cleared up everything, I was symptom free for 3 weeks, then I started having sex with my girlfriend again and shortly after the symptoms have returned. I got tested again, results were negative again. The doctors are slightly confused about whats going on as am I. So I decided to post here to see if anyone has had these kind of things happen and what the result of it was?

Another update: Its been a little over two months since the start of this problem. I still experience very light discharge from time to time. Just a small amount of watery fluid every so often. Regarding the update above: definitely think that was a side effect of the medicine, it was gone literally 2 days after I posted that. However I have been experiencing back pain and sometimes pain in my side and lower abdomen. Once again, not sure if this is related or not. I got my urine tested and tested again for a full round of STD's and everything was clear and normal. I'm not really sure what to do. Maybe I'm overreacting a little bit or my mind is playing tricks on me but something just doesn't feel right. Maybe if I have some imaging done or a complete blood count that might clear some things up. I just worry that I may be showing some early symptoms of a more serious illness. I'll try and keep updating this as I find out more. Like I said, I don't see much follow up in any of the threads I find about this laying around the internet.

Just to update: It has been one week exactly since I took the Azithromycin, symptoms have greatly cleared, no pain in the urination and extremely limited to no discharge. I was tested negative for HIV/AIDS (Just wanted to be safe). I should also add, not sure if this is related or maybe a side effect of the medicine, but I have been extremely gassy, and things have been slightly strange with my anal area, I'm not 100% sure how to describe this, I think the description "greasy feeling" might be sufficient. Mind you, I have never had sexual anal experiences or anything like that. Hope someone can lend me some advice!

It sounds like thrush or chlamydia to me, but if your tests are coming back negative that is strange, maybe go to another sexual health clinic and maybe speak to your partner about being tested.
