Hard vein in penis

Two nights ago, I noticed a hard vein-like object under the skin of my penis.  It is near the base on the top, and seems only to present when I am erect.  It does not hurt, or seem to possess any feeling at all, and moves as if it is not attached to anything.  What weirdness has possessed my penis, and how might I go about eradicating it?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be a thrombosed penile vein, a normal penile vein, or a plaque associated with Peyronie’s disease or Mondor’s disease(less likely). I suggest you to consult a urologist and get it examined. If there is no itching, discharge or pain or any other associated symptom then there is nothing to worry.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
