There are three types of proteinuria: transient (temporary), orthostatic (related to sitting/standing or lying down), and persistent (always present).
Transient and orthostatic proteinuria do not cause long-lasting health problems and do not usually need to be treated.
Some people with persistent proteinuria have kidney problems that need to be treated

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Foamy urine is not a cause for worry if it happens only occasionally and isn't getting worse. It may just mean that you urinated rapidly, or maybe the urine is concentrated (due to mild dehydration). You could drink more water to see if it goes away. Proteinuria is just one of the causes of foamy urine. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) (commonly prostatitis) and retrograde ejaculation are two common causes in men.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do consult your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
