Left testicle and inner left thigh pain

Hi

I am 25 yrs old. I have pain in my left testicles and inner left thigh pain. I have this pain for almost an year. Its a mild pain and mostly I can tolerate it, but sometimes when I cant tolerate I am mentally disturbed and I cant concentrate much in my work. I am a software engineer and hence I always sit in the chair. When I sit in the chair continuously I have more pain. After doing some stretching exercises and after sleep the pain disappears. I also observed that when I was in US for 6 months I didnt have much of a pain since there my testicles was always contracted because of cold climatic conditions. But when I am in chennai my testicles get loosened up and hence whenever I sit in the chair continuously or whenever I ride a bike I get the pain.

I consulted an urologist, he tested me and said I am normal but still he advised me to perform a ultrasound scrotum test. The following is the report of the test

"Both testis show uniform echotexture. Both epididymis show normal echotexture. The venous plexus in both scrotal sacs show no obvious evidence of reflux during valsalva manoeuvere."

Reading this report my urologist said everything is normal and he said he dont know the exact cause of the pain and he advised me to see Orthopedic doctor fr inner thigh pain. I am yet to see him.

I am really confused now since reports say its normal but I still have pain in my left testicles. So please advice me what is my problem and how should I get it cured. I am really worried since this pain doesnt allow me to concentrate in my work :(

Ive had the exact same thing and been for so many tests but doctors never know how to help. Had sti checks and some even said its just all in my head l.

Started looking at forums and i cant believe how many other people have the exact same symptoms and nobody seems to know the problem.

Then i did a bit of research myself and found something called pudendal neuralgia. Pretty sure this is what a lot of us with these symptoms have so im trying to spread the word on it.

Yes I have been having this for almost 15 years . It start shooting my left back leg, thigh the somehow it travels to my left testicle but sometimes I feel it does start from my testicle then my leg or both , it's very annoying and drive you crazy you start thinking perhaps I have
Something hidden that no one can see

I did everything ultrasounds at first ,, I mean 10 years ago they said it's not a major thing it's a little Inflamation then he said it's a small cyst .
So  they said take Motrin or anything for Inflamation then I did that , then with time passes by and with exercising and eating the right food and all
That It started going away but again I didn't pay attention to it then 12 years later in 2012 I started having it again then again I went to do ultrasound and again they saw nothing , it's really annoying and embarrassing to be sitting down waiting fur a doctor to start scanning that machine with cold gel on ur thing ,,, anyways I get it on and off Every time I take iboprophene
I feel it's a little easier . I also realized that cheese causes the pain more And i know cheese causes Inflamation .
But after a long time and a long years I feel cheese or walking too much or eating the wrong food triggers it I also feel that is coming from my left stomach I feel there is a vein around my left colon is tight and Sensetive and every time after eating I message that vein then  I started releasing gas and my pain starts disappearing . I also realized that pain caused by my lower lumbar to my left middle of my buttex . So it's all related .
After all u do ultrasound and check ur self and they still don't see jack **** .
So I think it depends on ur digestion system also if u do have a lower back pain or if u are experience sciatica pain ,,it does effect.a lot , it does for me .
So my point is it's all Inflamation . It is a killer .
As of now I have been receiving shooting pain on and off every day but I'm not really concerned about it anymore it's part of my life , sometimes it gets bad sometime it goes away fir 6 month then comes back .

I have been having this pain for almost 2 years and I feel like there's nothing to do about it. they said that I have Varicocele veins. I went to see a urologist about 3 times and went to the hospital also got a ultrasound  but they said its nothing major. I fell like there should be a cure to this. I cant stand this minor pain. They also told me that even if I get surgery the pain still not going to go away. Then what's the point of having the surgery ? like really. I hope they find a cure for something like this.

Hey man, don't say that. I know it's tough but hang in there, there is always hope. I myself have several medical complications happening at the same time and I hate it but you gotta stay positive. Better things can always happen if you give it a chance.

I have had my pain for years now, all my doctors just shake their heads, I have had every test in the book, everything is normal, I have had injection, nerves cut, vasectomy, you name it, I have had it. I’m on Tramdol, 50mgs, 4-6 times a day, I also take Gabapentin, 800 mgs, 3 times a day, I live in pain all the time. I have lost my job, my wife has left, friends don’t call anymore, I have debit up the ***, I only see one thing left to do, I have purchased a gun. Good luck everyone who deals with this, sorry, but I gave up.

Considering trying amitriptilyn. My doctor gave this to me and it was life changing. It's technically an anti depressant, but at low dosages it is often used to treat neurological disorders. He thinks that after I got a bad infection, my brain still tells me I'm in pain. Anyway, this stuff works pretty damn well. It's the only thing I've found that allows me to live my life somewhat normally again. Please consider trying this.

Hi, I am Abir. I am 24 yrs old. I have pain in my right testicles and right leg. I have this pain for almost 6 months. Its a mild pain and mostly I can tolerate it, but sometimes when I can’t tolerate I am mentally disturbed and I can’t concentrate much in my work. When I try to sit on the floor I feel pain on whole right leg (from testicle to my foot of right leg). I have had a habit to do Masturbation from age of 14. Usually I do masturbation 3 times in a week. Is this pain due to masturbation or any other causes? Or it is a symptom of testicular cancer? What should I do now?

Best Regards,
Mr Abir

I've had the same issue for the past 8 months. I ended up getting a vein removed in my leg, but it didn't help the pain. My pain gets worse when I stand for long periods of time. It feels better when I lie down, sit down, or walk. Although when it is hot out, the walking makes it feel like it is chafing. Any thoughts?

One more thing. Have them do the ultrasound when you are sitting on a chair. When you stand or lie down the ultrasound will not pick up the blood vessel dilation caused by the varicocele.

What about a Varicocele? This can cause this kind of pain. It often effects you when you sit down and the pain gets worse as the day goes on. You can feel the pain in your foot, leg, and lower back as the left testicle/scrotum increases. When you stand up or lie down the pain goes away in a matter of minutes. Have a doctor who specializes in that surgery exam you. There are three methods to repair this and the incisional is the most successful. Good luck.

Hi,

I am facing same problem. I am also software engg and I am in USA(cold location). I am having pain from last one year and probably will be back in India next month so I will continue my treatment there. I have been to doctor here and I have undergone ultrasound/CT scan. Both came negative. So doctors don't have answer to my problem,

Hi subbu, I am having somewhat similar problem and this may help you. Possibly you too are sufferring from varicocele which mostly affects left testicle. The vein enlargement might still be too small to have been ignored by the USG tech. Next time you go for that USG, inform the tech person that you have pain in the left testicle, so he is much more wary. No need to go to orthopedist. Go to another urologist and see if he can shed some light on varicocele. Please share the outcome with me.

Hi,
After going through the description, there’re only 2 possibilities which I can think of. One thing is clear that the pain is originating from the testes and is likely a radiating pain to the testes with the likely pathology lying somewhere else. It could possibly be a pain of a stone in the urinary tract and radiating to the testes which can happen when the tone is lodged in the ureter and will thus suggest you to get a CT-IVU to rule out the possibility of a stone. The second possibility is a pain from the strain of the inner thigh muscles which your urologist has rightly mentioned. For the same, an orthopaedics guy will be the right person to contact.  A physiotherapist can also help in the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
