Lump in penis only when I am about to ejaculate

Hi, I am a 20 year old male who is in good physical condition. The take a multivitamin every day and take sulindac occasionally for bursitis in my shoulder. I am not sexually active in any way so I know that I do not have an std. The other day when I was masterbating I noticed that I had a lump on the right side of my penis about an inch and a half below the head. I immediately checked to see if I could find the lump when my penis was flacid, but it was impossible to find. I didn't masterbate for a week because I thought it was a lymphocele.  Yesterday I noticed it was still there and only appeared near ejaculation. I have no clue what this could be and I leave town in 4 days to go to college. There is no way I could get a urologist appointment in time before I leave. Please help.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

You can check whether the appearance of the lump coincides with the location of the superficial vein of the penis and its branches. A lump that appears only during erection could most likely be a vein.

A lymphocele would persist even after detumescence and is precipitated by trauma such as that caused by vigorous sexual intercourse or masturbation.

As there are no other symptoms associated with the lump, it would not require any immediate medical attention.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
