Painful, Foamy Urination Problems

Since April of 2009, I have been having strange urinary problems. For about 3 weeks, I had increased urinary frequency and urgency, as well as painful urination. This seemed to come with thirst and dry mouth.

The frequency and urgency have gone, as well as the increased thirst and dry mouth, but I am still stuck with painful urination. The urine now appears foamy as well. The pain is a burning when urinating, and then I get a lingering pain down what feels like the whole urethral tube. Another note is that it seems like no matter how much water I drink, the urine is always yellow (it used to almost always be clear).

I have no other major medical issues besides anxiety (for which I take Lexapro) and asthma (Symbicort, Singulair). I've had bloodwork (CBC and Kidney tests) done, all of which are negative for anything. I've had my urine cultured and analyzed at a urologist's office, still negative including no protein and no infection.

Where should I go from here? I was thinking of seeing a second urologist before cystoscopy just for a second opinion. This is the strangest thing to ever happen to me!

I know this is a really old post but I started having the same symptoms on Zyrtec. My doctor then put me on Singulair and the pain and all the good stuff  that comes along with it has started again. I just quit the Singulair this past Tuesday, I believe, and the "lingering pain down what feels like the whole urethral tube" has subsided a little.  I thought I was going crazy. So glad to have found your post. I hope you are in good health.
